Seven Years on DA
Wow, where did the time go?
So much has happened in seven years: I attended college, got my bachelor's degree, moved from workplace to workplace, and finally found the job of my dreams. My work keeps me very busy prepping and lesson planning, so I don't always have the time to sit down and draw (hence a lack of pieces posted here), but it's nice to see my friends grow in their art as well!
I'm not as active as I once was here, but if you ever want to chat and catch up, I'm on tumblr much more often. I'm currently in BNHA and NNT hell... and I'm always reblogging anything geology and paleontology related.

Pokemon Art League
Hi all!
Should have written a journal entry about this earlier, but I just wanted to let you know a bit about a new Pokemon art group that started up. Pokemon-Art-League (https://www.deviantart.com/pokemon-art-league) is a group where Pokemon fanartists can grow in their art skills and talk with other Pokemon lovers. You can submit Pokemon fanart to the group or, if you're feeling up to it, challenge our eight gym leaders to an "art battle." If you decide to challenge a gym, a gym leader will assign you a Pokemon/scenario to draw that is related to their gym challenge (for example,

Five Years on DA
Hard to believe it's already been five years. Looking back, a lot has happened during that time: I graduated college, got a job, got a new computer, and even improved in my drawing skills a tad bit.
As usual, here is my progress in a year's time:
This may not look like a whole lot of improvement, but I've since learned a new method of shading that takes up a lot less time (mainly shown in the Reinhardt WIP). I've also been using references more often, which is a major help for anatomy and shading. Never be afraid to use references. Never.
Once more, here's where I was when I first joined:
